Bottletree will be playing their debut show, right here in The Shoals, tonight at FloBama. Birmingham’s Secret Stages is like a smaller scale SXSW. Set in various bars and venues throughout the city, it’s an opportunity to check out up and coming bands from around the country, as well as some cool local spots. It takes place this Friday and Saturday (May 11th and 12th) and is located on or around 2nd Ave North in Birmingham. The Shoals area will be well represented by two diverse acts, displaying its eclectic music scene.
Nightmare Boyzzz will be bringing their fuzzed out, reverby brand of garage punk/pop to Das Haus on Saturday at 9:30 pm. Other acts include Kill Baby Kill, Hail the Titans, Black Tusk, and Dope Body.
Lauderdale represent the new Muscle Shoals sound, playing Americana rock and roll with a tinge of alt-country. They will be closing out Saturday night’s show at Rogue Bar at 12:30 am. Other acts include the Alvin Fielder Houston Quartet and James Wallace and the Naked Light.
